Meet Dario

Dario Kmet is the Principal of Team TNNS and an Australian-born tennis professional with firsthand experience navigating the U.S. college tennis system. He competed at both the NJCAA and NCAA Division I levels, giving him a practical, insider understanding of the collegiate pathway from recruitment through to competition.

Dario holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, majoring in Sports Management, from Abilene Christian University in Texas, where he balanced academic study with high-performance tennis.

Collegiate & Professional Experience

Dario Kmet brings a strong blend of elite playing experience and hands-on coaching across Australia and the United States. He competed at both the NJCAA and NCAA Division I levels, representing nationally ranked college programs and gaining firsthand insight into the demands of high-performance collegiate tennis.

During his time at Abilene Christian University, Dario was recognised for his on-court achievements, including being named Western Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year in 2023, alongside multiple All-Conference honours in singles and doubles. His competitive background also includes international junior representation and nationally ranked college doubles results, providing a well-rounded perspective on player development and progression.

Professionally, Dario is a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and has held coaching roles within high-level private club and academy environments. He has previously worked as an Assistant Tennis Professional at the prestigious Midland Racquet Club in Texas and is currently a Tennis Professional at Zone Tennis Academy, delivering private coaching, group programs, competitive training, and social tennis initiatives across a wide range of ages and abilities.

Having recently completed his own collegiate tennis journey, Dario brings a deep understanding of both high-performance pathways and the everyday enjoyment of the game. He maintains strong and ongoing connections with U.S. college coaches, players, and former student-athletes, while remaining equally committed to developing players and tennis communities at a local level.

At Team TNNS, the purpose is to provide expert on- and off-court guidance that supports athletes and players at every stage of their journey. From junior development and competitive training to adult coaching and social tennis, Team TNNS is focused on creating an environment where players can improve, compete, and enjoy the game with confidence.
